Sister Corita Kent (1918-1986) was an American Catholic Nun, artist, educator and activist. Her banners and posters about love and peace were featured at civil rights and anti-war rallies throughout the 1960s and 70s. "Find a place you trust and then try trusting it for a while" was one of the rules of the art department she ran at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles.
