Gifts of Compassion

Everyone has dark moments. Often all we need is a comforting arm or a listening ear. Paradoxically, the times when our friends and family need us most can be the times we find it hardest to reach out. Even though struggle is a universal experience, it somehow dumbfounds us. We feel scared we won’t say the right thing, so we walk on eggshells or say nothing at all.

Reaching out isn’t about getting it right. What counts is simply that we make the effort, being brave enough to acknowledge and sit alongside someone else's pain. A gift won’t fix the problem, but it can help someone to feel heard and held – and know they’re not alone. We designed these gifts because tough times deserve tender responses.
